Roxanne earned her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health for counseling and human services at Indiana University in 2019. She completed internships at grief counseling, community mental health, and inpatient addiction counseling sites. Roxanne has an eclectic approach to counseling with a concentration in Client-Centered, Gestalt, and Existential therapy. She believes in taking a holistic approach exploring the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Roxanne considers it an honor to walk with my clients through part of their journey and have been blessed to see the resilience and beauty of the human spirit in every person she has worked with. She believes that all people are doing the best they know how and that when we are able to accept that, we give ourselves compassion, love, and acceptance, and that’s where healing happens.
Roxanne first became interested in the field of counseling when she and her husband became licensed therapeutic foster parents and adopted two beautiful children in 2012. She was deeply involved in therapy with them working to heal trauma and establish and solidify our attachments to each other. Although it had not been an easy road, she loved the way their experience of therapy has helped their family and she hopes to help others in their unique situations.
