An added bonus to the counseling experience at Psychological and Family Consultants has been the presence of two energetic therapy dogs.
Dick and Jane were rescued in 2006 when they were about 10 weeks old. For fourteen years they added their service of humor and comfort to our clients. Unfortunately, we had to say a very sad goodbye to Dick in October, 2019. Jane continues to greet clients with friendly barks and wagging tail. She is always responsive to tummy rubs.
We encourage clients who are not comfortable with dogs to let us know. When not in the therapy room there is a lovely “condo” on the upper level of our building where Jane can play with toys and take a nap.
An added asset to the counseling experience at Psychological and Family Consultants is the presence of two energetic and friendly therapy dogs, Dick and Jane. They were rescued in 2006 when they were 10 weeks old and have been a part of the PFC staff since that time. We have ascertained that they are a mix of Beagle and Golden Retriever and most likely other breeds as well. They greet our clients at the door with barks, wagging tails, and an occasional howl. They especially like tummy rubs.We encourage clients who are not comfortable with dogs to let us know.
